Heated formwork
The innovative HECON heated formwork maintains constant temperatures during concrete curing. This is especially important for new, CO2-reduced concrete mixtures to achieve high-quality results.
On over 4,000 square meters, visitors to the PERI exhibition hall can explore impressive exhibits, live demonstrations and exciting insights into the world of construction. A special focus this year is on residential and infrastructure construction – complemented by numerous digital tools that can be tried out directly on site. A highlight is the marketplace developed especially for bauma, which highlights the topic of house construction. Using a stylised house construction project, which also develops virtually, experts will be demonstrating how PERI solutions create real added value in everyday construction. Five times a day, PERI product experts will be giving live demonstrations showing how valuable time can be saved in residential construction while maintaining high quality and safety. Additionally, PERI will be addressing the topic of sustainability by presenting new approaches to implementing resource-efficient and sustainable construction globally. In addition, visitors to bauma 2025 will for the first time gain insight into the CO2 footprint of PERI systems and learn how this can sustainably improve their own CO2 balance.
New developments in the formwork sector
The MAXIMO Panel Formwork, which can be operated from one side, has become a crucial part of construction sites in many countries worldwide. PERI will be presenting the new MAXIMO generation at bauma 2025. This new generation combines the advantages of the previous stage of development with innovations that make the MAXIMO Panel Formwork even more versatile, increase its durability and user-friendliness, and improve sustainability on construction sites. One of these innovations is the coating of the MAXIMO, PERIskin. This all-round coating provides even better and longer-lasting protection against corrosion for the MAXIMO frames, requires less energy during production compared to conventional methods, and offers maximum corrosion protection for both the inner and outer surfaces. It also reduces concrete adhesion, which enables quick cleaning. The new coating process and the enhanced durability of the formwork have a dual positive impact on the carbon footprint of MAXIMO. In addition, the new generation can now be combined even more intuitively with the PERI UP Scaffolding Kit.
The DUO Universal Formwork also has important innovations in store. In the future, it will also be possible for the polymer formwork to be made from biopolymer, making it even more sustainable. DUO also features new functions that not only allow for faster striking, but also at the right time. Thanks to new components, which will be on display for the first time at bauma, the DUO Universal Formwork will be able to cover even more requirements and areas of application in the future. For example, a new main beam enables early striking and use for slabs up to 30 cm thick. Another bonus point: The required number of props can also be reduced. In addition, the DUO Universal Formwork can now be combined even more intuitively with the PERI UP Scaffolding Kit. To simplify the set-up with adequate construction site safety, a new scaffold bracket adapter will be presented for the first time at bauma.
In the future, the new, transparent formlining of the DUO will make it possible to inspect the filling level and quality of the concrete directly during the shuttering process. In addition, new components for foundations can further reduce shuttering times and provide even more flexibility in the use of the universal formwork.
With the SKYFLEX Lattice Girder Formwork, PERI will also be presenting forward-looking slab formwork that can be used flexibly and, thanks to its reusability, helps conserve resources compared to traditional timber formwork, while speeding up the formwork processes. For instance, the patented drophead allows for early striking. The slab formwork also increases safety for construction site staff. The risk of accidents at work is significantly reduced thanks to the option of assembling the formwork from a safe position from the lower level. In addition, SKYFLEX only requires a small number of props, which not only minimises tripping hazards at construction sites, but also optimises work processes and reduces material costs. SKYFLEX has already won the Industry Choice Innovative Product Award at the World of Concrete 2025 exhibition in Las Vegas.
The SKYFLY Slab Table is another innovation that will be shown to visitors for the first time at bauma. The table can be used to form large areas in a single operation. The slab thickness can be up to 70 cm. The safety aspect is also of crucial importance with SKYFLY. Pre-installed guardrails at the slab edge protect the staff. In addition, the high stability of SKYFLY also contributes to increased safety on the construction site.
The new generation of the GRIDFLEX Grid Element Slab Formwork sets benchmarks for the future by combining safety, efficiency and sustainability. The further development of the proven formwork integrates fall protection directly into the system, providing maximum protection for site staff. In addition, the new GRIDFLEX is characterised by an even longer service life, while at the same time achieving potential savings in terms of time and materials. The durable and reusable aluminium components significantly reduce resource consumption, especially when compared to conventional girder formwork.
Further development and expansion of the PERI UP Scaffolding Kit
Scaffolds, stairs and access points for public areas as well as for events will be presented at bauma with the PERI UP Public Stairs. With only a few additional components, this extension of the PERI UP Scaffolding Kit fulfils the special safety standards that apply there.
With the Vario Box, PERI will be presenting an entirely new product for scaffolding construction companies and contractors. It is a storage and transport solution in one. With a load capacity of up to 2,000 kg, for instance over 90 m² of PERI UP Facade Scaffold can be transported. The Vario Box is also suitable as a load carrier for props, beams, and shoring as well as for reinforcement scaffold units. The load volume can also be extended with attachments.
The PERI UP Shoring Tower MD is a versatile shoring system with a medium load-bearing capacity that has been specially developed for infrastructure projects and building construction with large slab thicknesses and is now being presented at bauma. With a load-bearing capacity of up to 100 kN per vertical, the PERI UP Shoring Tower MD is characterised by its high strength and stability.
PERI will also be focussing on the forward-thinking further development of the PERI UP Scaffolding Kit. Whether with extensions to the PERI UP components for the modular facade scaffold, additions to the PERI UP Cladding for safe enclosure of the scaffold, advanced guardrails in other applications next to the facade or an adapter for safe and convenient quick lowering of head spindles in the shoring area, PERI will be presenting a wide range of innovations at bauma.
PERI will be showing how scaffolding construction can be made more efficient, transparent and future-proof, for example with the PERIcap digital tool, which enables smart management of scaffolding systems. It fulfils the requirements of small and large scaffolding companies by visualising the entire scaffolding construction process in real time: Construction sites can be planned in real time, resulting in a permanent reduction in costs and material requirements.
PERI will be presenting another digital highlight with Genio, a pioneering robotics study. In cooperation with partners KU Leuven, the RWTH Aachen University, the ‘Center for Large Structure Production (LSP)’ of the SDU University of Southern Denmark, UC Leuven Limburg and the Jožef Stefan Institute, PERI is researching how robotics can compensate for the shortage of skilled labour in scaffolding construction. Genio demonstrates how robots will be able to support the assembly of scaffolds in the future in order to relieve the strain on labourers and at the same time increase safety at construction sites. Visitors will have the chance to experience this innovation up close in the PERI exhibition hall – a visionary look at the scaffolding construction of tomorrow.
Innovations in bridge and tunnel construction
Bridges in need of renovation are the focus of worldwide attention. With the VCT Composite Track, PERI will be presenting an innovation that sustainably improves the construction of steel composite bridges. Thanks to the innovative suspension from below, formwork carriage supports are no longer needed, which improves the quality of the in-situ concrete carriageway slabs. Work can also be carried out more easily, which means that shorter concreting cycles are possible. Another advantage of the system: The specifications of the German Federal Highway and Transport Research Institute concerning steel composite bridges can be easily met. Adam Hörnig GmbH & Co. KG is using the VCT Composite Track for the new construction of the Thulba viaduct and has thus won the bauma Innovation Award in the “Building” category. Visitors can experience the system with the replica of the project in the PERI exhibition hall.
PERI will be presenting another highlight at bauma with the replica of a Munich underground station. With customised adaptations of proven systems, such as the VTC Tunnel Formwork Carriage and the SB Brace Frame, PERI will be demonstrating its engineering expertise as well as ways to optimise and noticeably accelerate construction processes – for instance, with hydraulic units that enable automated shuttering and striking.
With the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, which connects Germany to Denmark, PERI is also involved in one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe. Bauma visitors will gain insights into the project and the formwork solutions for the standard tunnel elements of the longest submerged tunnel in the world, which PERI is supplying.
With two new partners – KERN Tunneltechnik SA and MH International – PERI also expanding its portfolio in the infrastructure sector. KERN specialises in special machines for tunnel construction and will be presenting innovative solutions for complex construction requirements on site. MH International is focussed on temporary structures in the infrastructure sector and contributes to more efficient construction projects with shoring systems. Both companies strengthen the engineering expertise of PERI and allow for holistic project solutions.
New climbing systems and digital innovations
PERI is extending the RCS Climbing System to include new solutions: These enable the economical use of climbing formwork, even for smaller projects. RCS MAX Shaft also offers the option of moving the formwork in small to medium-sized shafts without a crane or any special component.
With the MPS Pro, PERI will be presenting an innovative modular enclosure solution. The system can be freely configured, is fully available for hire and impresses with its lightweight components and the fact that the system can be transported fully pre-assembled, which minimises assembly time. MPS Pro has proven its worth especially in confined spaces in high-rise projects. In addition to increased safety, the system also ensures more pleasant working conditions.
Digitalisation is also bringing positive innovations to the construction industry in the field of climbing systems. PERI will be presenting sensor technology solutions that will enable data-based decisions to be made in the future and positively influence both the quality and speed of concreting processes.
In addition to innovative products, PERI offers comprehensive services, from specialist consultation, detailed planning and just-in-time delivery to targeted project support. PERI experts will be on site to present visitors with customised solutions for their construction projects.
Digital innovations for the construction world of today
In the construction industry, digitalisation offers enormous potential for simplifying work processes, making construction sites safer and accelerating work processes. This is exactly where PERI comes in. PERI will be presenting digital solutions at bauma 2025 that cover the entire construction process, from planning to execution and management. With innovative tools like the extended QuickSolve web application, the XR Ecosystem, the Scaffold Estimation Tool (SET) and PERIcap, PERI is making it possible to manage projects precisely and in real time. While QuickSolve allows the simple planning of wall and slab edge formwork, shoring and working scaffolds, access solutions and bridge applications, XR Ecosystem makes it possible to experience planning in three dimensions, which supports the assembly of complex geometries. For more sophisticated planning processes in the scaffolding sector, PERI will be presenting the latest version of the Scaffold Estimation Tool (SET), which can be used on additional scaffolding components. PERIcap was developed for and with customers to enable seamless digital information and process flow from the office to the construction site.
The identification and tracking of products at construction sites is also an important issue for many companies. Knowing in real time where which material is at any given moment, planning material in line with this information and uniquely identifying material to counteract theft on construction sites – PERI will be demonstrating all of this at bauma. SYFIT, in which PERI acquired a majority stake in September 2024, developed the products for these solutions.
Saving resources with concrete sensors
Time pressure on construction projects is constantly increasing, while at the same time new, CO2-reduced concrete mixtures are being used more and more often. However, there is often a lack of experience when it comes to determining the earliest possible striking time with the new mixtures. In addition, the shortage of skilled workers makes it more difficult to handle these new materials safely. This is where PERI subsidiary VEMAVENTURI comes in. At bauma, the company will be presenting innovative sensor technology solutions that optimise construction processes. The sensors provide precise data for concrete pressure monitoring, temperature measurement, concrete maturity determination and water content in fresh concrete. This enables site managers and skilled workers to make informed decisions in real time, use resources efficiently and avoid misjudgements – all for greater safety and faster construction progress.
A sustainable look into the future
In the exhibition hall, PERI will be demonstrating how sustainability and product optimisation go hand in hand. The PERIskin coating – based on VIANT from chemetall – is applied as a dip coating at room temperature and provides all-round protection while saving over 80% of energy compared to galvanisation. The energy required for this is sustainably generated from a biomass power plant that uses wood waste from production as well as its own electricity produced from photovoltaic systems.
The PERI portfolio is complemented by the innovative HECON heated formwork, which enables uniform curing of concrete mixtures at constant temperatures. Especially when it comes to new concrete mixtures that have been developed to reduce the CO2 footprint, constant environmental conditions such as temperature are crucial for good concrete results. At the same time, the energy consumption of the new heated formwork is kept low with the use of advanced formlining and an intelligent control system.
PERI will be demonstrating yet another sustainable approach with the TwistBlocks Moulds. This simple formwork enables the production of concrete blocks, the so-called TwistBlocks, in small factories, for instance directly on site in disadvantaged regions. The TwistBlocks are then used to build houses, similar to building blocks. On the one hand, these houses are sturdy, but, if necessary, they can also be quickly disassembled and rebuilt in a different location. This not only enables quick and simple building construction but also creates jobs for the local population. These concrete blocks have already been successfully used in the construction of a school in Nairobi. Two other projects – the construction of a new school in Cape Town (South Africa) and the expansion of the PATRIZIA School Syangeni in Kenya – are currently in progress.
Introducing the PERI Group and its partners
In the PERI exhibition hall, numerous PERI subsidiaries, partners and start-ups – in addition to those mentioned above – will be presenting their innovative portfolios, and at the same time demonstrating the comprehensive support of the PERI Group for the construction industry.
For instance, start-ups such as Comstruct and Specter will be displaying digital approaches to optimising delivery notes and construction site documentation.
PERI 3D Construction Printing has advanced its holistic portfolio of solutions for 3D concrete printing and will be showing some of the 15 printed buildings that have been created so far. It is also presenting DREIHAUS, a modular building concept that allows companies to print buildings that are ready to occupy at a price of just 2,900 euros per square metre.
The DataForm.Work joint venture will be presenting an innovative approach in the field of customised formwork solutions. From planning to production and assembly, even complex projects can be carried out quickly and cost-effectively.
PERI subsidiary promaintain showcases its expertise in the field of industrial projects. The full-service provider has been providing its support in the areas of engineering, project management and consulting for industrial scaffolding projects since 2006. Visitors to the PERI exhibition hall will have the chance to take a closer look at some of its wealth of experience.
This diverse presence underlines how PERI, along with its partners, is developing innovative, digital and sustainable solutions for the challenges of the construction world. That means PERI is making a significant contribution to safety and sustainability at construction sites and actively shaping the future of construction.
