Second PERI Sustainability Report Published

PERI SE has published its second sustainability report. In accordance with the GRI standards (GRI = Global Reporting Initiative), which are binding worldwide for sustainability reporting, the report shows the sustainability goals PERI has set itself and makes transparent the progress made in implementing them in the 2022 - 2023 reporting period.

The company manages its sustainability activities worldwide using over 100 key figures. In the reporting period, PERI's sustainability activities and objectives were audited by EcoVadis, one of the world's recognised providers of sustainability ratings, and awarded a bronze medal.

Some of the highlights in the two-year reporting period since the publication of the last sustainability report include

  • The inauguration of a school in the Kibera slum in Nairobi (Kenya), which PERI built in co-operation with a non-profit start-up. As part of its sustainability activities, PERI builds a school in a developing country every year. The company has developed its own concrete block for this purpose, which was honoured with the German Innovation Award.
  • PERI has been a climate-neutral company (in terms of its own energy consumption) since 2021. In the meantime, PERI already operates 17 photovoltaic systems at PERI locations around the world and has thus already significantly exceeded the target of reducing the company's CO2 emissions worldwide by 10% by 2025 with -18% by the end of 2023.
  • Every year, 20,000 square metres of company premises at PERI sites are designed to be close to nature in order to promote valuable biodiversity. In the reporting period, a total of four company sites were designed to be close to nature.

These are just a few of the facts, initiatives and projects that can be read about in detail in the PERI Sustainability Report 2022/2023. The report can be found on the PERI website at www.peri.com/de/unternehmen/sustainability.html and is available in German and English.
