Major technical calculations had to be carried out to construct the complex apex of the building. All framework conditions had to be considered – from wind and weather to the safety of the workers on the scaffolding and passers-by.
The ACS Self-Climbing System was used for the first time in Denmark for the Lighthouse 2.0, having already proven its worth in numerous construction projects worldwide.
The rail-guided climbing formwork scored points with its hydraulic drive, large climbing units, high lifting force and rapid processes, which meant that a concreting cycle of just one week per storey could be achieved.

Award for Denmark’s tallest residential building

The “Lighthouse 2.0” construction project has created new living space with 381 new flats in the purpose-built district of “Aarhus Ø”, not far from the centre of the city of the same name. The top floors are home to a restaurant and a roof terrace that is open to the public – with fantastic views of the harbour, the sea and the city. The project has now received an award for the “Best Tall Building” in the “100 to 199 metres” category from non-profit organisation, the “Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat” (CTBUH).

During the construction of the new faculty at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco, an optimally coordinated PERI formwork and scaffolding solution allowed construction to be completed within a nine-month period, while maintaining high safety standards.
With the help of ALPHADECK Slab Formwork, it proved possible to form around 120,000 m2 of slab in just nine months.

For the construction of the three bridges WS 49, WS 52 and WS 54, PERI supplied an optimally coordinated formwork and scaffolding solution based on the VARIOKIT Incremental Launching Facility, VARIO GT 24 and TRIO Column Formwork and the PERI UP Scaffolding System.
For the construction of the three bridge structures with two superstructures each, a complete PERI solution with the VARIOKIT Incremental Launching Facility proved to be the key to success and was greatly appreciated due to reduced material quantities and time-saving handling.
The flexible VARIOKIT Formwork Units could be individually adapted to suit the supporting construction and bridge geometry.
